Don't you just love it when you listen to something, and it just sounds so fresh, and so innovative, like nothing you can think of? Well, that certainly describes Despectral Maid. Sure, it has elements of recognizable genres, but it's the way that it mixes them together. Psychedelic chiptune drill and bass? Sure, why not? Oh, and you can't forget about the glitchy sound design. But beyond the novelty of the sound, it's simply a well-made album that has substance to back up the unique approach. It'll take you for a journey you won't want to end. Definitely recommended if you're looking for something new.
