Here’s one I found due to RYM user and mad scientist responsible for this album alyxisalyx relentlessly promoting his music on the forums and on lists he created. And I’m glad he did, because this goes fucking hard! The post-ironic brainrot shitpost artist name might make you roll your eyes, but make no mistake, Alyx (who was only 19 when he dropped this) is a master of his craft, and DESERVES to be taken seriously as an artist.
The best way to describe this album is absolutely batshit insane. Completely bonkers from start to finish, and full of bangers to boot (“Power” is probably the highlight, but it’s all great). Manic breakbeats, fun samples (“Stickerbrush Symphony” from Donkey Kong Country 2 on the title track caught me off guard in the best way possible), and noisy, energetic sugar-rush melodies taking influence from the delightful bleeps and bloops of chiptune. There’s a million different things going on, and they all kick ass! This is pure ADHD music fed a steady diet of Monster and cocaine, a sheer assault on the senses. It’ll leave you beaten down, gasping for air, and begging for more. Give it a listen, ya friggin’ dingus!
